Players retain their
initial classification from Spring-Summer 2013.
When you purchase a new registration your team
classification must start out the same as the
highest classified player you add.
Now, beginning with your second Fall qualifying
tournament every team will automatically be
reviewed. Tourney championship teams will
likely start highly rated. But the more
you play, the more accurate your classification
When your classification changes (either UP or
DOWN, you will receive an e-mail notification.
Your classification could move Up and Down
several times throughout the season. Your
stats will be tracked separately in each
classification you play.
Some teams may play up if desired. But
teams must now have a separate roster for each
age they play. The reason for this is to
track team stats in both ages separately.
The only way to do this is separate roster
(In the future teams may wish to play in both
odd and even state championship and World Series
Teams must remit rosters and show insurance
certificate before your FIRST game. Page 8
You may not obtain your registration or roster
in the midst, or after, a tournament.
Adding Higher Classified Player:
Adding a higher classified player will
immediately elevate your team classification.
The maximum distance for an allowable border
exemption is increased from 35 to 50 miles
2013 Bat Rules:
The latest bat rules and associated illegal bat
When teams choose to bat the entire line-up in
qualifiers, courtesy runners are not allowed.
Playing/Coaching Under Suspension:
page 26: Any
individual playing or coaching while suspended,
entire team will be disqualified and permanently
In a national championship or world series, tied
games can continue as needed for the full
scheduled innings per age. If still tied,
"Texas Tie-Breaker" will go into
effect until a winner is determined. No
Texas Tie-Break in a Championship game.
Player Release and Return:
page 11: A released player cannot be added back
to a prior team AFTER rosters are frozen: May 14th
(Spring) Oct 14th (Fall).
No rosters are frozen until (spring) May 15th;
and until (fall rosters) October 15th. All
teams have unlimited adds and drops until these
Home Team Coin Flips in Nationals & World Series
flips now occur only in pool games,
AND the eventual championship games.
Home team in bracket play (except championship
games) now automatically goes to highest seed.
Late Withdrawals or Cancellations
withdrawing from, or failing to show for, a
Super Series tournament event after
entries have closed and brackets have been
posted, shall forfeit entry
Awards: Awards will now be
presented only to players who actually
participated in the tournament. Awards
will not be presented to rostered players who
were absent, on vacation, etc.
Points are no
longer utilized for team classification or qualification
to State or National Championships. Points
will continue to be important and utilized to
SEED all teams in World Series and National
5th or Lower
