EFFECTIVE:  JANUARY 2010

1.  BATTING ENTIRE LINE-UP:
Any team, regardless of age or classification, may choose to bat its entire line-up in any qualifying tournament.  Rule 7.07.1
Rule does not apply to State Championships or World Series.

2.  COURTESY RUNNERS:
A courtesy runner, who is not in the game but is still eligible to do so, may be used for the pitcher or catcher at any time. Such courtesy runner can run for only one player in an inning
Rule 7.08
Eligible player means a substitute that has not batted or taken a defensive position; or a starting player who has been removed from the game but remains eligible to re-enter.  A starting player, removed from the line-up could be a courtesy runner upon the first removal, and then re-enter the game.  A substitute who enters the game, cannot serve as a courtesy runner.)

3.  POINTS REQUIREMENT FOR POST SEASON:
To qualify and become eligible to enter Super Series World Series and National Championship events, teams must achieve a minimum point requirement.  Every team participating in a Super Series event now earns points!  Points are now updated each week on the superseriesbaseball.com web site.

4. 2010 POINT SYSTEM::
Every team in every qualifier, will earn points regardless of the position of finish.  Double and Triple Point events will be very rewarding to teams.

5. DUGOUTS and COACHES:
Any individual occupying a dugout, or is inside game fences must be on the team roster for insurance purposes.  Ensure that all coaches and bat boys are rostered.  Rules 3.07.4  7.03.2

6. PLAYERS WISHING TO PLAY UP:
Players who are playing up in age - if the pitching distance changes - may play one classification lower. 
(Example: If a 10U American player wishes to play 11U - he would be allowed to play 11U Minors due to the increase in pitching distance)
Rule 4.16

7.  PLAYING WITH 8 PLAYERS:
Teams which have late arriving players, or a player who fails to show, for QUALIFYING tournaments only, now can play with 8 players and take an out for the 9th batter.  This rule will not apply in State Championships or World Series.  Rule: 7.07.4

8.  ROSTER MUST BE CURRENT:
Super Series rosters submitted at all tournaments must have been printed within the last week. 
(Reason: the roster must show the latest (current) level of classification) Rule 3.07.1

9. RUN RULE:
If The run rules of have been revised to remove (20 runs after 1 inning). (Reason: this rarely, if ever, occurred, and now at least two innings of play are assured in all games.)  Rule: 7.09

10.  THROWING BATS: 
Players who throw their bat after hitting a pitch will be issued one warning.  On the second offense in a game, the player will be ejected. 
Rule: 7.35
