2015 NEW RULE SUMMARIES

Team Registrations:  All teams must have a registration and registered roster prior to commencing play in all Super Series tournaments for the age they are playing.  Registering after play has commenced; or after a tournament has concluded, is strictly prohibited.
Penalty:  Suspension or Disqualification

Catchers Equipment Rule 7.38 Amended June 1st:  All catchers, in ages 6U thru 14U, must wear an approved full coverage (hockey style) helmet.  All catchers must use a catcher’s mitt.  Use of a fielding or 1st baseman’s glove is prohibited.
High school age teams may opt to use a skull cap and mask.

Team Classification: When you register your initial roster, you now can add any player.  Your starting team classification will be based on the classification of the of the players you add.  (If you add 5 or more Triple-A players your starting classification will be Triple-A; if you add 5 or more Majors players your starting classification will be Majors.

Adding Players:  Once you registered your roster, if you wish to ADD players of a higher classification, you can do so if you wish to accept moving up to the same classification as the player you wish to add.

Classification Reviews:  Beginning with your second qualifying tournament every team will automatically be reviewed.  Your classification will be based on your record, winning pct, runs scored and runs allowed.  Team classifications could be elevated or lowered.

Classification Change: When your classification changes the team must play at the new level, and the team classification be based upon games against "in class" teams.

Your classification could move Up and Down several times throughout the season.  Your stats will be tracked separately in each classification you play.

Playing Up:  Some teams may play up if desired.  But teams must have a separate roster for each age you wish to play.  The reason for this is to track your team stats in both ages separately.

Roster Add-Drops (5.01 pg 13) No rosters are frozen until (spring) May 31st;  and until (fall rosters) October 31st.  All teams have unlimited adds and drops until these dates.
After these dates teams will be allowed 3 additions.

Frozen Rosters Rule Change:  Prior  Rule prohibiting adding prior players back to your roster is rescinded.  You now can add prior released players after the "frozen" dates.  However, the player must be released from any other team of the same age.  Player will count as one of your three additions.

Unregistered Players: Any team found having players not on the team roster in the dugout, or participating in games, shall be immediately disqualified in the event, the roster/registration shall be terminated, and the Manager is subject to indefinite suspension.  If the player is currently registered to another team of the same age, the player also will be subject to suspension.

Points System: Points are not utilized for team classification or qualification to State or National Championships.  Points WILL continue to be important and utilized to SEED all teams in World Series and National Championship events.
